Austen Wilson lives and works in Haddonfield, NJ, where he spends way too much time studying scores and planning worship at coffee shops. In his seventh year as the Director of Music at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, he engages body, mind, and spirit while conducting Adult, Children’s, and Youth Vocal and Handbell Choirs. His baton, nicknamed the Elder Wand, appears when conducting handbell choirs, in the annual Lessons and Carols service, and other works with orchestra. Because he can't get enough music, Austen sings in the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, PhilHarmonia, and The Village Carolers. He also loves Star Wars, speaking Spanish and French, and exercising. Austen holds an M.M. in choral conducting from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Vocal Music Education from St. Olaf College, but has no desire to try lutefisk.
